OUR STORY

FORGING
UNCOMMON MEN.

ANVIL was built to create the kind of brotherhood that calls men higher while giving them room to be honest about where they are.

WHY ANVIL EXISTS

Brotherhood requires more than gathering.

Rooted in Proverbs 27:17, ANVIL believes that men grow stronger through transparent relationships, biblical accountability, encouragement, discipline, and the willingness to learn from one another.

We create environments where men can navigate real life together, including faith, purpose, identity, family, relationships, emotional well-being, leadership, and responsibility.

ANVIL is firmly rooted in Christ. Men of every background and at every stage of faith are welcome to enter the room, build relationships, and grow.

MEET THE FOUNDER

Ny’Reon Shuman

Founder of ANVIL · Youth Minister · Preacher

Ny’Reon Shuman is a Jacksonville-based preacher, youth minister, and the founder of ANVIL. He began preaching at 11 years old and has spent much of his life serving young people, helping them encounter Christ, discover purpose, and grow in spiritual maturity.

His ministry is marked by a desire to see lives transformed through repentance, restoration, discipleship, and an authentic relationship with Jesus Christ. Through Ny’Reon Shuman Ministries and Project 7:14, he creates spaces where people can respond to God, receive biblical teaching, and experience the power of community.

ANVIL grew from Ny’Reon’s conviction that men need more than another service or event. They need honest relationships, accountability, and a brotherhood strong enough to challenge them while still giving them room to grow. His vision is to build a Christ-centered community where men of every age and background can come to the table, become stronger together, and develop into the men God has called them to be.

“We are building a brotherhood where men can be sharpened, supported, and called higher.”
